When an application is lodged by the applicant through Urpla it is required to go through Validation by Council, to be considered Properly made.
How to validate the application:

1. Select your assigned application in the Validating swimlane or an unassigned application within the Awaiting assignment swimlane.
2. At the Location step review the applications site details, applicable planning, overlay, and mapping triggers, maps, resources and proposal details and Save & Proceed.
3. Review the applicant's category of assessment at the Categories step. Work left to right, top to bottom, selecting the item from the left pane, reviewing the legislation in the middle pane and answering the council assessment questions, and marking the item Complete on the right pane. Once all items are completed, Save & Proceed.

4. Review the state and federal matters applicable to the proposal and the applicant's response at the State & Federal step. Work left to right, top to bottom, selecting the item from the left pane, reviewing the legislation in the middle pane. In the right pane, review the applicant's answer, answer the council assessment questions and mark the item Complete. Once all items are completed, Save & Proceed.
5. At the Forms & Admin step review the forms and other ancillary documents in the left pane. Answer the Council assessment questions in the right pane and mark the item Complete, and Save & Proceed.
Note: Skip the Team step if you do not require to add another officer to this application.
6. If you have identified any items as 'More information required', they will list as an Action notice item at the Action/Confirmation Notice step. Review the Action notice items and Save & Proceed.
7. If you have identified all items as 'Support', the app will prompt you to answer some questions regarding the validation of the application. Answer the questions and Save & Proceed.
8. If you have identified any items as 'More information required', the app will know to generate an Action notice document at the Publish step. Select Generate Preview to generate the Action notice.
9. If you have identified all items as 'Support', the app will know to generate a Confirmation notice document at the Publish step. Select Generate Preview to generate the Confirmation notice.
10. Once you have reviewed the documents, select Publish and the document will be sent to the applicant. The application status will automatically be updated.
Note: Access the documents at any time! All documents, once published, get added to the View list of documents list in the top toolbar.
Note: Only certain user roles can validate (create action/confirmation notices). Check with your Council's Urpla administrator to know what permissions are enabled.
How to validate a paper-based application:

1. On the Applications dashboard, select 'New' in the top right corner of the app.
Review the applicants submitted material:
2. At Location step, search the property by entering the address or Lot and plan number into the search bar in the top left corner. Urpla will return the user with basic property details (when selecting multiple properties they will list underneath each other). Enter the applicant and owner details into the applicable fields and Save & Proceed.
3. At the Proposal (Paper based only) step, enter the key proposal details, use the buttons in the top left of the app to navigate between development types and Save & Proceed.
4. Review the local matters applicable to the proposal at the Categories step. Work left to right, top to bottom, selecting the item from the left pane, reviewing the legislation in the middle pane. In the right pane, enter the applicant's answer, answer the council assessment questions and mark the item Complete. Once all items are completed, Save & Proceed.
