How to complete the Reporting - Codes step:
1. When you reach the Codes section of the Reporting step, you are required to answer the codes that you selected as 'Relevant & included in Planning Report' at the Codes step.
Note: All codes that are applicable to your development application will be listed within the codes section of the Reporting step. Only the codes you deemed 'Relevant & included in Planning Report' will show the assessment criteria
2. Urpla separates the local and state assessment criteria into the following:
- Zone,
- Overlay,
- Land Use,
- Other, and
- SDAP
3. Working top to bottom on the left navigation panel, select your first code listed e.g. Zone.
4. Depending on your category of assessment determined at the Categories step each code will present you with the following:
Accepted development benchmarks | The codes required outcomes (RO's). | ||
Assessable development benchmarks | The codes performance outcomes and acceptable outcomes (PO's & AO's). |
5. Use the drop-down arrow to view your first PO/AO.
6. Read the first criteria and answer the question "How does the proposal meet the code?".
Note: Use the response library, located at every discussion text box, to help answer how the proposal meets the code. To learn more about response library, view this article.
7. Select from the options available on the bottom navigation panel, Complies with AO1, Complies with PO1, Not applicable or Not compliant.

Check the box "Check this to discuss this performance outcome in detail in the report?", Urpla will add a new heading under 'Alternate solutions complying with performance outcomes' in this code's discussion section so you can discuss it further.
Not compliant: If you do not meet the PO, and require assessment against the code purpose and overall outcome, you may want to discuss further within the report. Urpla will add a new heading under 'Assessment against code purpose/overall outcomes' in this codes discussion section so you can discuss further.
