An ‘Owner’ is an organisational role type. Learn more about organisational role types here:

Each organisation is required to have an owner, there can be multiple owners of an organisation.

The person who originally created your organisation is assigned as the owner of the organisation.


  1. Sign into your account.

  2. Select your avatar at the top right corner of the page.

  3. Select Account Settings.

  4. Select the Account Settings - Members tab.

  5. Find the user in the members list that you would like to update to Owner.

  6. Select the Action button on the right (three dots).

  7. Select Edit. Their email and existing type will populate on the left pane.

  8. Edit your type by selecting from the drop-down menu.

  9. Select Owner.

  10. Select Save.

Why cant I see the members tab in Account settings? Your organisational role type may not have the permission to access the members tab. Read Applicant Roles & Permissions or Authority Roles & Permissions, or contact your organisational administrator to find out what permissions your organisation has.
