How do I change my supervisor?
The software provides flexibility to allow you to update your supervisors at any point in the application's lifetime, this is done through the Team (Authority) feature. We understand that often team members' roles and responsibilities change regularly, people may get sick or go on leave. Having the flexibility to update your team is important in the development assessment process.
When the admin, assessment manager or collaborator is invited to the assessment, the software automatically invites the users supervisor/s for their group (learn more about groups here, Account Settings - Groups). When these supervisors are invited they are added as ‘Pending', supervisors will become 'Active’ on the team when they accept their email invite.
Assessment Managers
When you reach the end of your workflow and select Publish (for assessment managers this is the publish step) you will be prompted to send your work for supervisor review for certain Notices/Reports depending on your Authority’s configuration. You will be provided with a dialogue box that will list your applicable supervisors. The supervisor/s listed here are taken from the supervisors identified in the Team (Authority) feature.
Collaborators
When you reach the end of your workflow (for a collaborator this is the Conditions step) you will be prompted to send your work for supervisor review for certain Notices/Reports depending on your Authority’s configuration. You will be provided with a dialogue box that will identify your applicable supervisors. The supervisor/s listed here are taken from the supervisors identified in the Team (Authority) feature.
The dialogue will list inactive and active supervisors.
Review and confirm the supervisor/s identified in the dialogue box is whom you wish to send your work to for supervisor review. If you wish to change the identified supervisor/s you can update this by following the instructions below.
For example, there may be mulitiple supervisors identified in your ‘Supervisor review’ dialogue box, if you only want to send it to one sueprvisor you can update your supervisors by following the instructions below.
Instructions
Open the Team (Authority) feature.
Locate the supervisor/s you wish to remove
Select the action icon (three dots)
Remove the users.
If you need to invite new supervisors you can by using the invite functionality at the top of the dialogue box.
Type in their email address and select it from the drop-down list provided.
Once they are selected, you will see their group selection auto-populate (if they are in more than 1 group it will provide you with the option to choose which group).
Ensure that the supervisor you are inviting matches your group (You must be in the same group for a supervisor request and review to occur. Learn more about groups here, Account Settings - Groups).
Once you have the correct group name selected, select Invite.
You will need to navigate back to the end of your workflow (for a collaborator this is the Conditions step and for assessment managers, this is the publish step) and select Save & Proceed or Publish to trigger the supervisor review process to occur.
The updated supervisor will now receive the email prompt to review your work.
