Archives - Withdrawn, Lapsed and Cancelled applications
The Archives feature stores and lists applications that have been withdrawn, lapsed or cancelled (See Figure 1 below). An example of the Archives page is shown in Figure 1 below.

When application is in the ‘Withdrawn/Cancelled/Lapsed’ status (archived), the software allows the Authority (Assessment manager and coordinator) to update the application status to the appropriate status. This may be required to correct an error made in updating the status to ‘Withdrawn/Cancelled’ or update the status of a “Lapsed” application application if it has been 'revived'.
Where is the Archives feature located?
The Archives feature is located in the top right-hand corner of your Applications dashboard, it can be found next to the Filter tog (See Figure 2 below).

How do I withdraw an application?
Applicant
The application manager for the Application can withdraw applications that have been lodged with the Authority and are not yet decided (ie. An application that is within or between Application Status, Awaiting assignment to Finalising decision). Instructions on how to withdraw an application are provided below.
To verify if you are the application manager for the application, please refer to Help Centre article Team (Applicant).
Authority
The applicant may also request the Authority to withdraw the application. The Assessment manager or a co-ordinator may withdraw an application on behalf of the Applicant. The Authority may only withdraw applications that have been lodged with the Authority and are not yet decided (ie. An application that is within or between Application Status, Awaiting assignment to Finalising decision). Instructions on how to withdraw an application are provided below.
If the applicant has updated status to “Withdrawn”, email notification will be sent to the Assessment Manager.
Instructions on how to withdraw an application in the software (Authority and Application manager)
Hover over the right-hand corner of the application card until the action icon appears (Figure 1 - Action icon).
Click on the action icon in the top right-hand corner of the application card and select Update status (Figure 2).
Select Withdrawn status from the drop down menu (Figure 3).
Insert the reason why the application is being withdrawn (Figure 4) and click Save. Once you click Save, the application will be moved to the Archives page for the Authority and the Application manager.

How do I cancel an application?
Applicant
The Applicant will need to submit their request outside the software. The Authority will then update the status within the software to Cancelled. Once the status has been updated by the Authority within the software, the Application Manager will receive an email notification and the application will be moved to the Archives page.
Authority
The applicant may also request the Authority to cancel an application. The Assessment manager or a co-ordinator may withdraw an application on behalf of the Applicant. The Authority may only withdraw applications that has been lodged with or decided by the Authority (ie. An application that is within or between Application Status, Awaiting assignment to Decided). Instructions on how to cancel an application are provided below.
Instructions (Authority only)

Select Cancelled status from the drop down menu (Figure 3).

How do I lapse an application?
Applicants
If the Authority has lapsed an application, the Application manager will recieve an email notification that the status of the application has been updated to Lapsed. The application will no longer appear on your application dashboard as it will have been moved to the Archives page.
Authority
If a development application or development approval has lapsed, the Authority (Assessment manager or co-ordinator) may update the status of the application to Lapsed. The Authority may withdraw applications that have been lodged with the Authority and are not yet decided (ie. An application that is within or between Application Status, Awaiting assignment to Decided). Instructions on how to lapse an application are provided below.

How do I revive an application?
Applicants
Follow the legislative requirements outside the software. Once the Authority has received the notice outside the software, the Authority can update the status to the appropriate status. The application manager will receive an email notification that the status of the application has been updated.
Authority
The applicant may also request the Authority to cancel an application. The Assessment manager or a co-ordinator may withdraw an application on behalf of the Applicant. The Authority may only withdraw applications that have been lodged with and decided by the Authority (ie. An application that is within or between Application Status, Awaiting assignment to Decided). Instructions on how to revive an application are provided below.
Instructions (Authority only)
Navigate to Archives.
Locate the application in Archives.
Click on the Action icon for the application at the end of the table (Figure 1 - Action icon).
Select Update status (Figure 2).
Select the relevant status for the application from the drop down menu (Figure 3). The application manager will receive an email notification of the status update. The application will be moved to the back to the selected status and be displayed on applications dashboard for both the Authority and the Application manager.
